- Gmail Data: We access emails from senders you specify to extract schedule information. We read email subject lines, sender information, dates, and email body content to identify events and appointments.
- Google Calendar Data: We access your Google Calendar to create, read, update, and delete calendar events based on information extracted from your emails.
- Google Profile Information: Basic profile information including your name, email address, and profile picture.

- Your user preferences and settings
- Email IDs of processed emails (to prevent duplicate processing)
- Calendar event IDs (to manage and update events)
- Meal plans you create or save
- Usage logs for service improvement and troubleshooting
Note: While we implement strong security measures, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide our Service and fulfill the purposes described in this policy:
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active
- OAuth Tokens: Retained until you revoke access or delete your account
- User Preferences: Retained while your account is active
- Processed Email IDs: Retained for 90 days to prevent duplicate processing
- Calendar Event IDs: Retained while the corresponding calendar event exists
- Meal Plans: Retained while your account is active unless you delete them
- Usage Logs: Retained for 90 days for troubleshooting and service improvement
- Billing Records: Retained for 7 years to comply with tax and financial regulations
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal compliance.

Delete Your Data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. This action is permanent and cannot be undone. We will delete your data within 30 days, except data we are required to retain for legal compliance.
Revoke Access
You can revoke our access to your Gmail and Calendar at any time:
- Visit your Google Account Permissions
- Find "Trivial Matters" in the list
- Click "Remove Access"
You can also disconnect from within your dashboard settings.
Export Your Data
You can export your meal plans, preferences, and account information in JSON or CSV format from your account settings.
Update Your Information
You can update your preferences, trusted senders, keywords, and other account information from your dashboard at any time.
Marketing Communications
You can opt-out of promotional emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email or by updating your email preferences in your account settings. You will still receive transactional emails necessary for the Service.
7. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
Trivial Matters' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
- We only request access to Gmail and Calendar data that is necessary to provide our Service
- We do not use Gmail or Calendar data for serving advertisements
- We do not allow humans to read your Gmail or Calendar data unless:
- You give us explicit consent for a specific issue
- It is necessary for security purposes (e.g., investigating abuse)
- Required to comply with applicable law
- We do not transfer Gmail or Calendar data to third parties except:
- To provide or improve our Service (e.g., AI processing for event extraction)

8. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
